Cory's Corner: Prevent Winch Cable Breaking

This particular winch product by Kolpin Outdoors is an Auto-Winch Stop that can help prevent the winch cable from breaking. It features a magnet that will automatically stop the winch from going into the fairlead of your UTV.

"All right, how's it going today? My name is Cory. I'm here to do a quick tutorial on some cool winch product that we have. It's supposed to help prevent breaking a winch cable when you're plowing. It's a magnetic stop that when you're reeling it in, it'll automatically stop it so that you don't bring the winch into the fairlead. Basically full magnetic when we go up. I'll hit the button the whole time. You stop it. Stops it automatically, no matter what, if I'm holding the button still. That's down, go all the way up, stops it right there. Show you a little close-up here. Basically, this guy right here is a magnet. And also this fairlead right here is a magnet. See, we got the wires going up into the machine. Basically, once it gets too high, you don't want your bottom plate here hitting the bottom and bottoming it out where it's going to potentially put too much stress on this cable here. What happens if you put too much stress on it, you end up with a cable that looks like that, which is not good. Frayed, broken, you get one that has a bunch of clamps on there like this. So basically this is supposed to help prevent that. You got your winch button going down, going up, stops it automatically, I didn't even let off the button there. So, It is a Kolpin product. I'll post a picture of the box itself. Very cool. Helps not breaking so many of these winch cables here. That's about all I got for today."
