Cory's Corner: Fall Means Hunting Season Is Here!
Hunting season means making sure your ATV / Side X Side is ready to be put to work after getting that big buck. Before heading out, here's our small list of items to check beforehand.
First off, if you are not using your machine during the summer months, now is a great time to look at the overall condition.
Start by walking around your machine to make sure everything looks normal. Keep an eye out for drops of oil or grease. Look at the electrical cables you can see (mice love electrical wires!). Check the tire condition for cracks along the sidewalls. If present, then it's time to start thinking about replacing them.
Check the oil level and condition. When was the last time it was changed? We recommend a minimum of once per year even if you are not putting on lots of miles / hours.
Next, remove the airbox cover and check the air filter. Most machines will have a foam filter that needs to be cleaned and oiled to keep dust and dirt out of the engine.
Lastly, check your headlights and taillights to make sure you will be able to see your way in and out to the tree stand.
These quick checks will help ensure that you'll have an excellent, worry-free, hunting season.
All manufacturers have recommended service intervals. If you have questions on any of these checks or would like us to help with parts / accessories or servicing your machine, please give us a call at 608-781-3360.
Thank you and good luck to all the hunters!
